Everyone has problems

Here’s a simple question, “what are you doing to help yourself?” If I asked you right now what’s going good or bad in your life some people could probably name about ten bad things with no hesitation. They don’t realize the next question is always “well what are you doing to fix it?” The thing is if you see something as a problem and don’t fix it, is it really a problem? Or is it something you are letting happen because fixing it is too much work; that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a problem. So again, what are you doing to help yourself? Are you getting to the root of the problem? Are you willing to make necessary changes? Have you come up with a plan? Will you lose focus if you feel like it’s better to stay where you are? Those are important questions you need to ask yourself when you decide enough is enough. When you decide you want to do better things. When you decide something isn’t working for you. Also never get caught up in believing you are alone, and you have to face things by yourself. Even if you don’t have much family support, you’re never alone. Even if you don’t know all your options and resources, that doesn’t mean you can’t find them. Sometimes problems (or what we consider problems) don’t need big measures. Some things could be a simple fix like: better time management, cutting back at least one soda per week, having a morning routine, going to bed a little earlier, spending a little less time watching TV and more time reading or writing, going for a nice drive or walk. When you learn to think positively, negative things, people, situations, won’t live long around you. So are you ready to reach this level? If so, what are you doing to help yourself? A peace of mind is more powerful than you think. -Lori G. Clark
